Amanda L.

Veterinary Technician

Amanda has been in the veterinary field for almost 20 years. She grew up on a dairy farm in northern Wisconsin and tagged along with the farm vet since she was old enough to stand. She became licensed in 2009 in Wisconsin and has lived all over the US – including working with exotics in Florida, general practice across the Midwest, emergency and critical care in Seattle for a number of years, and found her niche in clinical pathology during these years. She graduated from the University of Missouri with a BS in Health Science/Veterinary Biomed and graduated with a MS in Healthcare Administration from OSU. She currently works full time in clinical pathology, but wanted to keep her clinical skills sharp so joining the team part time at EVS in Reno was a no-brainer, as she believes urgent care in the Reno area is a vital component to veterinary care.
